The poppy

Beautiful red petals,
Form round a black center,
Each petal delicate as the next,
Forming all as a poppy,

The flower to symbolize,
The blood spilt,
The lives lost,
In the wars,

The logo for an amazing charity,
Once a year these worn,
A red one worn for soldiers,
A purple one for the animals,

The poppy just one flower,
Has so much meaning,
So many memories,
The wars history within.
